Zehnder HRVs
Zehnder HRV repair and overhaul
Zehnder HRVs provide ventilation with heat recovery. This includes systems such as the ComfoAir Q-series, E-series, Flex, Standard, ComfoAir 70, and ComfoSpot 50. Is the unit making noise, is the motor running heavily, or is the ventilation performing poorly? In such cases, repair or motor overhaul is often a sustainable solution.

Common problems with Zehnder HRVs
HRVs can experience problems such as noise, humming, vibrations, reduced airflow, poor extraction, heavy-running motors or worn bearings. In many cases, the entire unit is not defective, but rather a motor, bearing, fan impeller, circuit board or other component.

Start troubleshootingOverhaul or replacement?
A Zehnder HRV unit does not always need to be completely replaced when there are motor problems. When primarily the motor, bearings or rotating parts are worn, overhauling can often extend its lifespan. This is usually more economical and sustainable than replacing the entire installation.
