The SDiB Foundation aims to connect people and organisations to promote sustainability. We take initiatives to realise projects that contribute to a more sustainable future. We strive to ensure that as many people and organisations as possible contribute to a circular society and economy, in which no new raw materials are used and no waste is created.

Our profits go to ANBI - charities.

On our website https://sdib.nl you can see what we have donated and to which charities. Through Stichting SDiB we are a corporate friend of the Wilhelmina Children's Hospital and the Princess Máxima Center in Utrecht.

Recycling of ventilation motors, housings and electronics

We recycle ventilation motors, WTW motors, plastic housings and electronics (printing). This creates less waste.

Here are some steps and considerations regarding recycling these components:

  1. Disassembly: Before recycling is possible, the ventilation motors and housings must be disassembled to separate different materials. This can be done manually or with the help of special machines. After disassembly, usable materials are reused as much as possible.
  1. Material Separation: After the components have been disassembled and sorted, the different materials (such as metals, plastics and electronic components) must be separated from each other.
  1. Metal recycling: Metal parts in fan motors can often be recycled. Materials such as aluminum and steel can be melted down and reused for new products. This reduces the need for new mining and the energy required to extract metals from raw materials.
  1. Plastics recycling: Plastic parts can be recycled to make new plastic products. It is important to separate different types of plastics, because they often have different properties and require different recycling methods. We reuse as many usable plastics as possible.
  1. Electronic components: Fan motors can contain electronic components, such as motor controls and sensors. It is important to treat these electronics in a responsible manner. In our company, the reuse of functioning electronic components has become a sport in order to combine and reuse them as much as possible. Otherwise, electronic components must be disposed of in an environmentally friendly manner in order to minimize the harmful effects of electronic waste (e-waste).
  1. Environmentally Safe Disposal: If some materials cannot be recycled, they should be disposed of in an environmentally safe manner. This may involve safe disposal or processing at designated waste disposal sites.

All in all, recycling ventilation motors, housings and electronics is an important step for us towards sustainability and reducing waste. We promote the circular economy, where materials are reused and recycled to reduce environmental impact.
