R-Vent ventilation unit not extracting properly

Is your R-Vent ventilation unit not extracting properly? Does moisture linger in the bathroom, do cooking odours disappear less quickly, or do you notice little air circulation? The cause could be contamination, wear and tear, or a problem with the ventilation motor.

Possible causes

What can you check yourself?

Check if the valves are clean and if the ventilation unit responds when you select a different ventilation setting. If extraction remains insufficient, the cause may lie in the ventilation motor or fan.

When is overhaul necessary?
