Symptoms of worn bearings
- Grinding, humming, or squealing noise.
- A hum that gets progressively louder.

How do bearing problems arise?
- Normal wear and tear from years of use.
- Dirt or dust around rotating parts.
- Moisture or contamination in the ventilation unit.
- Imbalance of fan or motor.
- Prolonged motor load.
When do bearings need replacing?
A bearing that is starting to wear often first makes a slight grinding or humming noise. As wear increases, humming, vibrations, and reduced performance become more apparent. Therefore, do not wait too long to prevent further damage to the motor.
