Brink malfunction
Brink HRV unit not ventilating properly
Do you notice little air supply or extraction from your Brink HRV unit? Clogged filters, valves, ducts, incorrect settings, or a malfunctioning ventilation motor could be the cause.
What do you notice?
- Little air from the supply vents.
- Moisture and odors are poorly removed.
- The unit runs at a higher setting without clear results.
- The indoor climate feels stuffy.
Possible causes
- Clogged or incorrect filters.
- Clogged valves, fans, or ducts.
- Incorrect settings or balancing.
- A worn or defective ventilation motor.
Start with the filters
Check if the filters are correctly placed and not heavily clogged. Then check if valves are open and if both fans are running.
Is the ventilation still insufficient?
State which rooms are insufficiently ventilated and if the unit gives error messages or unusual noises.
Have the problem assessedDo not replace the motor immediately
Poor ventilation is not always caused by the motor. Filters, ducts, settings, sensors, and balancing must first be ruled out.
