Brink HRV unit no longer running
Are one or both fans of your Brink HRV unit no longer running? The cause may be with the motor, power supply, circuit board, cabling, control, or a mechanically jammed fan.
What do you notice?
- No air is coming out of the vents.
- One fan is not running.
- The unit shows a malfunction or error code.
- The motor hums but does not start.
Possible causes
- Defective or jammed ventilation motor.
- Problem with power supply or circuit board.
- Damaged cable or connector.
- Mechanical blockage or severe contamination.
Note any error code
An error code or message on the display can provide important information. Note it down before resetting the unit or disconnecting the power.
Have the malfunction assessed
Send the exact model, serial number, any error code, and photos of the device. This will allow us to search for parts more effectively.

That depends on the motor type and the cause. Mechanical wear can sometimes be repaired; in case of severe electronic damage, a replacement motor may be necessary.
