What do you notice?

  • There is poor extraction in the bathroom, kitchen, or toilet.
  • Moisture remains present longer after showering.
  • Odors dissipate less quickly from the home.
  • The motor may be running, but seems to have little power.

Possible causes

  • Contamination in vents, filters, ducts, or ventilation unit.
  • Wear and tear on motor, bearings, or rotating parts.
  • Problem with speed switch, control, or actuation.
  • Reduced performance due to aging of the motor.

What can you check yourself?

First, check if vents and filters are clean and if the ventilation unit responds to different settings. Also pay attention to noise or vibrations. A motor that is running but moving little air may be contaminated or show signs of wear. Always disconnect the unit from power before opening it.
