Stork Air mechanical ventilation

Stork Air mechanical ventilation units

Many older Stork Air mechanical ventilation units are still in use. These include models such as CM, CMA, CME, CML, CMLe, CMF, and CMFe. Is your Stork ventilation unit noisy, humming, or is the motor no longer running properly? In such cases, refurbishment is often a sustainable solution.

Known Stork models

  • Stork CM / CMA / CME: early generations of central ventilation units.
  • Stork CML: commonly used AC unit from approximately 1995–2005.
  • Stork CMLe: early energy-efficient variant with DC control.
  • Stork CMF / CMF-t: successors to the CML series.
  • Stork CMFe: DC variant, often prepared for RF control.

Common problems

  • The ventilation unit makes noise or hums.
  • The motor no longer runs or runs heavily.
  • Extraction has decreased.
  • Bearings or motor parts are worn out.
  • The ventilation unit vibrates or resonates.

Motor overhaul of older Stork ventilation units

Older Stork Air ventilation units are often robustly built. When primarily the motor, bearings, or rotating parts are worn out, refurbishment can be a good alternative to complete replacement. This way, the existing installation is preserved, and you avoid unnecessary costs.

Refurbish or replace?

Replacement is not always necessary. For many Stork Air mechanical ventilation units, the motor can be refurbished. This is often more economical, sustainable, and practical than installing a completely new ventilation unit.
