Stork Air ventilation unit no longer running

Is your Stork Air ventilation unit, HRV unit, or roof fan no longer running at all? This can have various causes, such as a defective motor, worn bearings, power supply problems, or wear of electronic components.

What do you notice?

  • The ventilation unit does not react at all.
  • There is no longer any air movement.
  • The motor sometimes tries to start but stops immediately.
  • The unit is completely silent.

Possible causes

  • Worn motor or bearings.
  • Defective motor capacitor.
  • Problem with circuit board or power supply.
  • Motor is mechanically seized.

What can you check yourself?

First, check if the ventilation unit is receiving power and if the fuse has not tripped. If the unit still does not react, there may be a defective motor or control. Always switch off the power before opening the ventilation unit.
