Buva ventilation unit no longer rotates

Is your Buva ventilation unit or HRU unit no longer rotating at all? The cause could lie with the motor, bearings, circuit board, power supply, or control. In many cases, repair or overhaul is still possible.

What do you notice?

Possible causes

  • Defective or seized motor.
  • Worn bearings or stiff-running components.
  • Problems with the circuit board, power supply, or control.
  • Wear or contamination of the ventilation motor.

What can you check yourself?

First, check if the ventilation unit is receiving power and if the controls are working correctly. Listen if the motor remains completely silent or tries to start. Always de-energize the ventilation unit before opening or inspecting it.

Can the motor still be repaired?
